First Day of Classes

Cecelia started preschool the beginning of September at Northpointe Christian Schools.  She is attending on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30-11:15 and then staying both days for lunch until we pick her up at noon.  She is loving school and doing great.  We were not sure how the first day would go.  Trey and I were both able to bring her to her first day.  She walked right in put her backpack on her hook and found her seat.  We had a few extra kisses and hugs but no tears, at least not from Cecelia :)  I think it helped that there were already many kids there coloring and not making a fuss about parents leaving.  It continues to go well and she walks right in to class when dropped off and doesn't want to leave when we go pick her up.  Let's just hope that continues until she graduates.

Cecelia has also started taking a dance class on Saturday mornings at Hearts in Motion on Wealthy street.  She loves to dance around the house and pretend to be a ballerina so we thought this class would be something she would enjoy.  She has gone to three classes now ans each week she is doing better at listening and following the teacher.  The first week we had a little bit of trouble when they were playing the game Going on a Bear hunt.  At the end of the game the kids see a bear and go through all the motions they just did but backwards.  Cecelia decided that she needed to be the bear and chased all the kids around the room growling like a bear.  We had a talk about this after class and the following week before class and the next time they played the game she participated with the kids and there was no bear!

Cecelia and her friend Lauren at class a different week.
