Best Western Inn Sterling Heights

Last week Trey had to be in Detroit for work on Thursday and Friday.  We decided to take advantage of the situation and make it a family getaway.  We packed up the family on Wednesday after Sports Camp at church and headed to Sterling Heights.  The Best Western Inn had an indoor waterpark/pool.  It was nothing like a Great Wolf Lodge but was just the right size for our kids.  Wednesday night was very rough as Eloise didn't sleep well which woke us all up.  Thursday the kids and I hung around the hotel until the pool opened up at 3 and then and swam for a bit.  We ordered pizza and ate dinner in our room before Trey and Cecelia went back to the pool for a swim.  Thursday night was a bit better sleeping except Trey ended up taking Eloise for a car ride and sitting in the car doing paperwork until she fell asleep and then brought her in to the room to sleep.  Friday the girls and I had a lazy morning before going to the pool to swim and then back to the room for naps.  Eloise ended up napping with me in the bed and sleep really well.  After Trey got home we went to Applebees for dinner and then back to the hotel to watch a movie.  That night Trey slept with Cecelia and Eloise slept with me.  Everyone slept all night and we didn't get out of bed until 9am.  Trey then took the girls to the pool which I packed up the car and then we all headed home.
