Riveria Maya

We have just returned home from a vacation in the Riveria Maya.  We left with our good friends Ryan and Janna last Wednesday and flew to Cancun.  We stayed at the Iberostar Maya.  It was a beautiful resort. It rained on a off the first day we arrived.  On thursday it rained again but we took advantage of the free spa.  It was a wonderful feature.  By 4 in the afternoon the sun came out and we enjoyed some time around the pool before heading to dinner.  Friday and Saturday were beautiful days.  The women enjoyed time in the morning at the beach while the guys played some tennis.  After lunch we all relaxed poolside.  The guys took a snorkeling adventure on friday afternoon. Sunday was an early morning as we headed to the airport at 5am arriving home at 5:30pm.

If you look close there are two guys heads bobbing in the waves.  There was a red flag due to the rough waves and weather but the guys ventured in anyways.

A game of horse shoes on the beach.  It lasted about 2 minutes before the clouds let loose and we were send running back to the hotel.
