2 Months Old

Wow, time does fly. Eloise is 2 months old today. Hard to believe that it was two months ago that we first set eyes on our beautiful baby girl and yet so much has happened in those two months.
Today we went in for her two month checkup with Dr. App. Once again he was very pleased with her progress and continued growth. She weighed in at 7lbs 6oz and was 19.75 inches long. Her weight finally puts her on the growth chart at 1% but we still haven't gotten there for height. So since her birth she has gained 3lbs 7oz and grown 2.25 inches. At two months of age Cecelia was at 12lbs 7oz and 23 inches long. What a big difference. Just shows that every child is different:) Eloise received three shots today in which is did not care for but stopped crying as soon as the bottle went into her mouth. Speaking of bottles she is up to about 2-3 ounces of formula every 3-4 hours. At night she sleeps for about 3 1/2-4 hours between feeding and is still a little poky at eating but not as bad as she use to be. The biggest news of the entire appointment was that we could STOP using the monitor. YEAH!!! What a great day to not have to worry about carrying it around or it going off at night for no reason. It is also nice to get those electrodes off her skin. So now we just continue concentrating on her growing and we will go back to the doctors in two months for her 4 month check up. We will have to go in for her RSV shots between not and then though. They are hoping to get approval from our insurance for two more doses to get her through April. They are suppose to check with Blue Cross tomorrow to see what they will cover and then let me know. When the shots cost $1300 each the insurance company don't always want to cover them unless it is absolutely necessary.
