Traditional American Family

We have official become the traditional American family complete with a play set in the backyard and a minivan in the garage. I have been looking for a play set on craigslist and found one that we liked last week. Along with the search for the play set I found a listing for a Toyota Sienna. We have been talking about getting a minivan now that we have the two kids for the easy of getting in and out of the car but due to our driveway we would have to get one with AWD. In researching we found that the Toyota Sienna was the only minivan since 2006 that has AWD as an option. Some of the older GM products due but after looking at them they were not set up the way I liked so that narrowed our decision down to a sienna. Unfortunately an AWD sienna is not easy to find and they are more expensive then at FWD one. I saw the add on craigslist for this vehicle and was amazed at the price and the mileage. It is a 2005 Limited XLE AWD sienna with 29k miles! That is less mileage then most of the 2007 sienna's I have seen listed. The downside was that it was at a dealership in Detroit. So I called the dealership last week Thursday and spoke with the sales guy about the vehicle. We decided to make a last minute trip to see the vehicle since I had a feel it would not be on the lot long. (the dealer told us when we picked it up he had 4 other calls on it, all from GR) I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. It had more features than I was looking for but everything we wanted in it. So in the end we told him we would take it and would be back on Monday to pick it up and trade in the HHR. We decided to trade in the HHR instead of the Envoy for multiple reasons. One we still had a car payment on it and didn't want two, Trey really wanted to keep the envoy for truck availability reasons and we also thought it would be best for Trey to have a 4WD vehicle due to all the driving he does in the winter and the amount of times he has had to park at the bottom of the driveway and walk up when the weather was bad. Also the HHR already had 95K miles on it and it was only a 2007. The warrant is up at 100K and we just didn't want to put more money into it and it was losing value fast due to the miles. So on Monday we said goodbye to the HHR and hello to the Sienna.
