Due Date

So today is Eloise's due date and it is very hard to believe that she is already 5 weeks old and had her one month check up on Wednesday. Time sure does fly. Her check up went very good. She weighed in at 5lbs 10ozs, up another 6 ounces from the previous week. She also measured 18 1/4 inches long which is half an inch longer then when she left the hospital and one inch longer than when she was born. She still does not register on the growth chart though. Since she is doing so well we do not have to go back until her two month check up. The only exception to this is that we need to stop back for her RSV shot the beginning of February but it will only be the shot and no weigh in.

Last Saturday we went to our future sister-in-laws studio to have Eloise's newborn, Cecelia's 2yr and family pictures done. They turned out really nice. You can see them on facebook http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=143191&id=46373513667&ref=mf.

We also had a public health nurse visit us on Tuesday. Since Eloise was a preemie this is a free service. She stopped by and weighed Eloise and just checked to see how things were going. She also set up a referral for a lactation consultant to stop by and helping me out with breastfeeding. The nurse will be back in about two weeks to do another weight check which will be very nice since we will not be going back to the doctors for 4 weeks.

Other than that things are pretty quite around our house. Cecelia did wake up with a cold on Monday which caused a little concern around the house. We did the best we could to keep the girls apart which is hard when Cecelia wants to give Eloise kisses all the time. We had her kisses her toes instead of her face. So far Elie seems to be healthy and cold free. We just pray it stays that way.
