Graduated To A New Bed

Eloise was moved to her new isolette last night and to top it off she got her IV taken out!! She was eating so well that do not need to feed her through an IV. She was up to 31cc's yesterday and today they are giving her 35cc's. Everything still looks good. I asked the nurse today what does she have to do to go home. The next step is for her to maintain her own body temperature. Right now her isolette is heated so that she does not have to use so much energy (calories) to regulate her body temperature. They want the calories she takes in to go to her gaining weight. So they will slowly lower the temperature in the isolette until it reaches room temperature. Once it is at room temperature and she is maintaining her own body temp then she will be moved to a regular bed like the ones in the nursery. The only criteria left after this is to gain weight at a steady pace. So her goals right now are to continue to eat well, regulate her body temperature and gain weight. The nurse thought she might be able to move to a regular bed this weekend at the current rate she is going. No prediction when she is coming home but we do not ask either.
She found something funny.

All snug in my new bed.
